My Mission “Help and Inspire others every day to live to their potential, reach their goals and feel great – because every single one of you deserve it!”
As you can see I wear many hats! I’ve listed my different businesses here with the intention to show how they all fit around my central theme, which is all about helping and inspiring. I’ve been an entrepreneur since my young teens and would often browse through the Chatelaine magazine top 100 women entrepreneur’s and dream of seeing my picture there. In this quick profile I’ll briefly summarize what each business is. Please feel free to click the links and check them out as well, I’d love to help and inspire you too!
Arbonne Independent Consultant
www.mialockhart.myarbonne.ca
Arbonne is pure, safe, chemical-free, vegan skincare. I share and sell the amazing skin care and nutrition line as well as teach and train my team to do the same. This 30 yr old company is new in Canada and is full of potential and the best part is I completely stand behind their products (they work) and their business system and corporate mission. I am excited at the unlimited potential that this company offers!
Owner, Eau Spa at the Old Orchard Inn
Reg. Massage Therapist
www.eauspa.ca
Eau Spa is a full service spa at the Old Orchard Inn, providing premium esthetics and massage therapy services. I was privileged to purchase the spa in 2009 and have been able to increase sales by over 25% with an amazing team and a “over-the-top” customer care program that keeps everyone happy.
Health Products Distributer, Violets Closet
www.shopvioletscloset.com
I created and established this online, women’s sexual health products business in 2008 to address the need of an educational and discreet shop for women to purchase products they don’t feel comfortable purchasing in a conventional store. Selecting only top quality products and setting up a distribution system have been the key success points to this business which allows me to help women and also make a little extra income from home.
Fitness Blogger
www.fitmomsociety.com
Fitness and Nutrition have always been an avid interest and after setting up a facebook group (over 900 members) of moms, I’ve realized that a lot of us know what we need to be doing in terms of our health and diet, we just need the motivation to to it – and that’s where I’d like to help out! Giving inspiration to get up and get moving – because our health is our #1 asset in taking care of our families and everything else we do in our lives. I’m currently creating new programs for this website, exciting new motivation tools for busy people to keep moving (daily texts, customized program reminders, goals and rewards charts….) Watch out, I’m kind of a motivation nut!

Linda joined the VWBN shortly after moving to the Valley 4 years ago. Born and raised in Nova Scotia, she lived for 3 yrs in Ontario and 12 years in Calgary before moving “home” with her husband and 2 kids. Having worked in the public sector, she found it to be a new challenge working in private practice. She joined the VWBN to meet and learn from other women business-owners in the community. She and her husband, Tim, an Audiologist, opened up the Wolfville Hearing Clinic in February of 2010 and Linda moved her private practice into the Main Street office. Together they offer a variety of speech and hearing services including assessment and therapy for speech and language delay and disorders, stuttering, voice disorders, articulation difficulties, apraxia, phonological disorders, aphasia rehabilitation, aural rehabilitation, hearing testing, the prescription, fitting and verification of amplification devices including hearing aids, custom-fit hearing protection, swim molds, musician plugs, tinnitus management, and alerting devices. Their clients range in age from 2 yrs to 96 years.
In her spare time, Linda enjoys live theatre, both onstage and off. You may even catch a glimpse of her on the small screen from time to time. She loves spending time with her family and dogs, reading, cycling, gardening, and enjoying all that this wonderful valley has to offer.

Pam Murray – Invisible Fence Brand of Annapolis Valley
Pam Murray started her 1 woman business in April 2004 and her husband joined her in 2008 and they now employ 2 full time and 1 part-time staff.
Her passion for creating better relationships between pets and their owners is her main motivator. “watching pets run around their property, burning off excess energy and seeing the stress disappear from the owner” makes her day. An added bonus is once that her clients get to enjoy their new relationship, they might pick up a second dog (or cat) usually from one of the local shelters, which is a win/win situation for everyone.
Another passion that developed after Pam started her business was her enthusiasm for meeting new business people and helping others find opportunities and share in their successes. She joined VWBN when she first started her business as a way to meet like minded business women and to get a better idea of marketing opportunities and resources for a new business. She thought she would just meet some women and pick up a few business cards, but with so many people out there doing such interesting business, she found herself introducing more and more women to the group. Working on the executive was a great opportunity to get behind the scenes and make some long lasting relationships and she highly recommends it to anyone looking for a strong business base.
Pam lives outside of Hantsport with her husband Peter Andresen and her 2 four legged trainers; Ben and Valentine – both rescues who were given a second chance.
She enjoys gardening, gathering with friends for good food and good wine and travelling.
